JOSEPH BURAK Peacefully, on Saturday, May 20, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Joe Burak passed away at the age of 77 years. Joe leaves to mourn Anne, his loving wife of 53 years; daughter Barbara (Bryan) Yusishen and grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna and Krystina of St. Andrews, MB; son Harold (Gail) Burak of Edmonton, AB. Joe was born on July 25, 1922 and was raised in the Arborg district of Manitoba. He operated the Public Barber Shop on Rupert Avenue in Winnipeg for 43 years until his retirement in 1988. Joe also obtained his Radio and Television Serviceman Licence and spent many evenings servicing televisions and making house calls. Joe loved music and played several instruments. He especially cherished his fiddle which he played professionally in his early years. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and searching the forest floors for a variety of mushrooms. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Burak, Joe Chyzzy, Joe Dion, Arthur Nakonechny, Norris Segal and Bob Stark. The family would like to thank Dr. Moncek for his care and support.
